Not only is it prestigious and well known for it's services. Marina Bay Sands(MBS) hotel has achieved the "Green Mark Gold Award". Which is only awarded to those who achieve outstanding environment sustainability. The hotel's Art Science Museum is designed in a specific way that it is able to collect rainwater which can be converted to the hotel's source of water for their toilets. They also have self-closing taps and constant flow regulators to minimise water wastage. Reducing the consumption of water with a rough estimate of 350 million liters per year. With that being said, the hotel requires significantly less power for their air condition system due to it's innovative water-cooled chiller system. Heat emitted from the chiller is consumed by the building's heat pumps. Which is converted to the heated water for restaurants and showers. Thus, minimising energy consumption.
