Bedok Point  is a the first mall in Bedok that is a redevelopment of both the former Bedok and Changi Theatres. It has been awarded the Green Mark Gold Award by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). The reason for this is because they have green features such airtight construction of double glazed windows, which creates thermal insulation, sound insulation, safety, limited condensation and reduced damage to furnishing; Use of energy efficient air conditioning systems, lifts and elevators, which reduces electricity costs and use; And use of water efficient fittings and green label products (Like taps, toilet bowls ,basins and urinals), which reduces the amount of water used to flush and rinse. With these energy saving products, it has an estimated energy savings: 569,697 kWh per year and estimated water savings: 36,989 m³ per year.
